Bushwalk
We had a GIANT hike all over the bush today. Even though I’m not a fan of hiking I enjoyed it because the scenery was amazing, and you had to pay attention in order to not die. The terrain was steep, rocky, slippery, muddy, dangerous, and pretty exciting to try and get around. Within the first ten minutes we saw a copperhead on the trail and it took us about fifteen minutes to get around it because it kept venturing towards and away from the path. We had a snack at a little river enclose (see pictures later) and exhausted ourselves on the way back up out of the valley. I never really believed in wind erosion until I stood on the tops of those rocks today. It was hard to keep your balance and the 100 meter drop didn’t do much to steady my knees either. It took me about two songs into my ipod to fall asleep on the way back, and I only woke up at the end because Nat made Robin poke me awake because she had to discuss things before we got back to Arundel. I just finished all this typing and now I’m going to go back to sleep for a few more hours before I make dinner.
(Notice how our rock is taller)
